Jeanette Mavis (Braaten) Klein, 74, of Satellite Beach, FL was brought home to heaven by her angel on November 9, 2013. Her angel had visited her twice before since she was diagnosed with breast cancer 12 years ago, but she told him she wasn't ready yet and that she still had too much to do here on earth. She was born in Greenbush, MN and was married to Vern Klein of Plummer, MN on August 23, 1958. She was a very open, honest, loving and caring person enabling a very wonderfully satisfying 55 year marriage. Together they have 3 children, Jim (LeDung) Klein, Deb (Todd) Kuglin, and Sandy Kalinowski and 8 grandchildren (Samantha Klein; Alyssa Kuglin, Mandee (Calvin) Nguyen, Kevin Kuglin; J.J., Johnathan (deceased), Cassandra, and Selena Kalinowski). She is survived by her 3 brothers and 1 sister - Melvin Braaten of Iowa City, IA; Ed (Eldora) Braaten of Henderson, NV; Duane (Joy) Braaten of Mankato, MN, and Mavis (John) Pidd of Cannon Falls, MN. She was a very special aunt to many nieces and nephews and touched many lives throughout the years as a Camp Fire leader, Sunday School teacher, and most recently in her Prayer, Share, and Quilt Group at church. She enjoyed family and friends, square and round dancing until illness prevented it, quilting and church, teaching whoever wanted to learn to sew or quilt or crochet, and especially travelling with her devoted husband, Vern. She had a special knack of detecting if someone was in need of a friend, even approaching total strangers if she felt they needed consoling. She often unknowingly inspired others just by being herself. She was a beautiful spirit and will be missed by all. A visitation will be held on November 14th from 4-6 pm at Beach Funeral Home in Indian Harbour Beach. A service will be held on November 15th at 11:00 am at the Satellite Beach United Methodist Church on Lee Avenue. Donations in Jeanette's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
