March 6th, 1924 - September 28th, 2009
Major Owen M. Fike, 85, of Satellite Beach, passed away Monday, September 28, 2009 at Holmes Regional Medical Center. He was born to Nellie and Clarence Fike. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W., Post #4643, served our country honorably in the U.S. Air Force. He retired to Brevard County from the Air Force. He is survived by his granddaughters, Samantha (James) White of Gaston, S.C. and Shannon (Howard) Hogle of Palm Bay, FL; great-grandchildren, Michelle, Stephanie and Aaron White, and Alexander, Kaylee and Lauren Hogle; and two great-great grandchildren. Owen was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha and two daughters, Carolyn and Dale. A memorial gathering will be held, Thursday, October 1, 2009, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Beach Funeral Home, Indian Harbour Beach, with the service to follow at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the American Heart Association, 237 East Marks St.,Orlando, FL 32803, 407-843-1330.
