George John Salomon
November 9th, 1930 - June 11th, 2019
On June 11th 2019 Mr. George Salomon passed away surrounded by family. Born and raised in Brooklyn, George graduated from New Town High School and went on to Wagner College where he earned 2 degrees, a bachelor's in chemistry and in business. During his time at Wagner he was a member of Alpha Sigma Psi and a US Coast Guard reservist. After college he quickly became an expert car salesman, going on to sell some of the most iconic car brands of his time including Edsel, Studebaker, and Lincoln-Mercury. His career culminated in 2 major car dealerships, making him one of the biggest car dealers on Long Island. He retired to Florida in the 1980's where he enjoyed boating, golfing, and travelling the world. George is survived by his wife Elisa, his children Penny and George, his stepsons Frank and Edward, and his grandchildren: Alisa, Jack, Kenneth, Tyler, Michael, Braddock, Patrick, Trevor and Paige. His legacy as a caring husband and loving father will live on in the hearts and minds of his family and friends. Please join us in paying respects to George's legacy.
