William Joseph Hamilton

William J. Hamilton, 95, of Melbourne Beach, Florida passed into the arms of our Lord October 11, 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Hamilton and eldest son, Richard Hamilton. Bill was born in Chicago, IL April 23, 1924 to Bill and Edna Hamilton. He was married to Joan Hislop of Boston, MA August 23, 1942 in Boston, MA. He is survived by sons William Hamilton, daughter-in-law Rhoda Hamilton, Robert Hamilton, daughter-in-law Kristy Hamilton, daughter Therese Hamilton Mendez, son-in-law Jose Mendez, granddaughter Dorothy Honeycutt, grandson-in-law Gene Honeycutt, grandson Richard Hamilton, great-grandson Joseph Rogers, great-granddaughter Jessica Honeycutt, great-great-grandson Conlin Rogers. Bill was an electrical engineer who worked on the Apollo and Shuttle programs at Cape Canaveral. Bill served with the Navy in the Pacific during World War II. Bill loved to snow ski and go castle-hunting throughout Europe. He was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus and active with his church, Immaculate Conception. Family and friends are invited to the celebration of life Thursday, October 17, 2019 anytime between 6pm and 8pm at the Beach Funeral Home located at 1689 S. Patrick Drive, Indian Harbor Beach, Florida. A mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Parish, 3789 S Hwy A1A, Melbourne Beach, Florida at 11am.
