Dora Rose DiLoreto of Indialantic passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16 surrounded by her devoted family. She was born in Greenville, Mississippi to Larmin and Maria Oltremari. As a young child, her family moved to Memphis, Tennessee where she graduated from St. Thomas Catholic Academy. She met her future husband, Clement DiLoreto, at a YMCA dance, while he was studying aviation electronics at Memphis Naval Air Station. They married in 1956 and moved to Madison, Wisconsin where Clem completed his undergraduate degree. They moved from Madison to Fort Wayne, Indiana for his job with ITT and master's studies at Purdue. In 1965, Dora and Clem relocated to Indialantic, Florida for Clem's work on defense and space programs. Dora's vocation was as a mother to her children and "Nona" to her grandchildren. She cherished the bonds of her family and her greatest joy was when each grandchild was born. Dora was an avid tennis player and played on the "Ms. Hits" Women's Team for over 40 years at Fee Avenue and the Pines. Dora also enjoyed tap dancing, line dancing, playing games with her grandchildren and traveling the world with her family. Dora and Clem were parishioners at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community for over 54 years. Dora is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Clem, and her four children and twelve grandchildren; Dr. David (Susan) DiLoreto of Western Springs, Illinois and children Sophie Gray, Tessa DiLoreto, Jimmy DiLoreto; Teresa (Richard) McNeight of Indian Harbour Beach and children Dr. Angela McNeight, Andrew McNeight, Michelle McNeight; Andrew (Lee Ann) DiLoreto of Winter Park and children Nicole DiLoreto, Natalie DiLoreto, Noelle DiLoreto; Edward (Kathy) DiLoreto of Merritt Island and children Daniel DiLoreto, Melanie DiLoreto, Joseph DiLoreto. She is predeceased by her sisters Pauldina McDaniel and Rita LeBeau and grandson, David Clement Richard DiLoreto. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of Dora to the Holy Name of Jesus Educational Endowment. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 29 with a reception to follow.
