Cornelia J. Lawitzke

Cornelia J. Lawitzke (Connie) died on Friday, February 14, 2020, in Sebastian, Florida, where she had resided with her youngest daughter, Carla (Carrie) Brunette, and son-in-law Jack Brunette for the past six years. Connie was born in Port Hope, Michigan, the daughter of the late Herbert and Ethel Christine (Gee) Burzlaff. Connie married Carl Albert Lawitzke in August 1949 and they resided in Detroit, Michigan for several years. After retirement Connie and Carl moved to Florida where they enjoyed many happy years together until Carl's death in 2001. Happy pastimes included bowling, square dancing, traveling and many years of driving for Avis. Connie is survived by her three daughters, Christine Sale, of Sebastian, Florida, Cynthia Stolber of Waterford Township, Michigan, and Carla (Carrie) Brunette of Sebastian, Florida; four grandsons, Sean Sale of Sebastian, Florida, Nicholas Sale, of Wellington, Florida, Michael Stolber, of Roseville, Michigan, and Ryan Stolber of Waterford Township, Michigan; two great grandsons, Thomas Sale and Anthony Sale, of Wellington, Florida. Her brother, Charles Burzlaff and her sister Olga Nercessian preceded her in death. A celebration of life ceremony will be held for her in May marking her 90th birthday.
