David R. Franco

David R. Franco, 26, died Friday, August 20th, 2010 after a courageous struggle with brain cancer. Born in Reading, PA., David moved to Florida when he was 3 in 1987. He was a 2002 graduate of Melbourne Central Catholic High School where he played Varsity Basketball, and Washington University in St. Louis, MO., with a degree in Computer Science. He was employed by Apple, Inc. in the Chicago area as an Apple Solutions Consultant. David is survived by his parents, Eileen and David P. Franco, Indialantic, his sisters, Heather (Darren) Haley of Melbourne and Tara (Mark) Reynolds of Elmhurst, IL, niece, Addison Haley and nephew Gavin Haley. Additionally, he is survived by his grandparents, Dr. Frank and Paula Franco and Ann and step-grandfather William Vath, all from Reading, PA., and numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Robert A. Vath. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in David's name to Melbourne Central Catholic High School Scholarship Fund, 100 East Florida Ave., Melbourne, FL 32901. David will be sorely missed by his family and all that knew him.
