William Sawchyn
December 18th, 1929 - September 16th, 2010
William Sawchyn was placed into God's hands on Thursday, September 16, 2010. William served proudly in the USMC from 1946 through 1952. He is a decorated Veteran of the Korean War receiving Purple Hearts from several campaigns. He was employed with the Passaic Valley Water Commission in Clifton, N.J. for 30+ years, afterwards retiring to Indian Harbour Beach where he and Lucille spent many wonderful years of quality time together. Both he and his wife were members of the Italian American Club. William will be best remembered for his devotion to his family. He is survived by his wife, Lucille Sawchyn; daughter, Kathleen Mazzotta; son, William P. Sawchyn; in addition he is survived by four grandchildren, TJ and Ashley Mazzotta; Billy and Bryan Sawchyn; and three great-grandchildren, Maverick, Micah and Peyton Mazzotta. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday, September 20, 2010 at Beach Funeral Home in Indian Harbour Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday, September 20, 2010 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church
