Leona Talley Jackson
May 24th, 1926 - December 2nd, 2020
Leona Talley Jackson of Indian Harbour Beach, died unexpectedly on December 2, 2020 after a short battle with cellulitis. Born on May 24, 1926 on a farm in Cullman County, Alabama, she became an accomplished Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. Leona was known to be a bit thrifty and opinionated, but it was her humor and fun-loving spirit that made her so endearing. She was genuine, good-hearted, and determined, overcoming much hardships during her nearly 100 years here. As the wife of a nave chief, she lived in various places around the world while raising 3 children, and eventually settles in Indian Harbour Beach. Our dad passed away in 1978, and we feel comfort knowing they will be happily reunited after 42 years. Leona will be missed dearly by her children: Ron (Jane) Jackson of Summerville, SC, Debbie Gilbert of Indian Harbour Beach, FL, Rick (Tina) Jackson of Melbourne, FL;Her grandchildren: Jodi, Jenny, Deone, Derek, Caity and Carly; Her great grandchildren: Rowen, Connor and Cullen; Her surviving siblings: Hoyt Talley of Jasper, AL, Grady J. Talley, of Cullman, AL, and Sue Alred of Moblie, AL; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. A private visitation will be held at Beach Funeral Home on S. Patrick Drive., IHB from 12:00 - 1:00pm on Thursday, December 8th. Subsequant memorial services will be held at Fountainhead Memorial Park, 503 Babcock St. Palm Bay at 2:00pm. Masks and social distancing will be required. Condolences and tributes can be posted online at beachfuneralhome.com
