Michael Matthew Phillips

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Michael Matthew Phillips, 24, “Mikey,” of Satellite Beach, Florida passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021. Michael was born on May 30, 1996 in Orlando, Florida to Matthew and Tonya Phillips. Michael attended Surfside Elementary, DeLaura Junior High, and Satellite High School. At an early age Michael enjoyed traveling to his Nana’s cabin in North Carolina, where he enjoyed camping, hunting, and exploring with family. Michael spent his early years playing sports, skateboarding, and hanging out with friends beachside. Michael most loved the social aspects of his years in elementary school, junior high, and high school. Michael was always the life of the party, goofy, and fun loving. Michael loved making new friends everywhere he went. Michael will always be remembered for his kindness towards others, his compassion, and his deep concern about others. Michael brightened everyone’s day he came into contact with. Michael is survived by his Mother, Tonya Phillips and Stepfather, Scott Molyneaux. Father, Matthew Phillips and Stepmother Sharon Galeano, sister, Alexis Phillips and step-siblings, Kyle Molyneaux, Cam Molyneaux, Kira Galeano, Kyle Galeano, and Bryce Galeano. He also leaves his maternal grandmother (Nana), Mary Jarvis, and Uncle, Clay Rich, his wife Kym Rich and their children, Christian and Nicholas Rich, as well as other numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins on his father’s side. Please join us in our celebration of life service remembering and honoring Michael, this Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Beach Funeral Home, 1689 South Patrick Drive, Indian Harbour Beach, Florida. Visiting hours will be from 5-7 p.m. followed by a brief service at 7 p.m.
