In Loving Memory Robert Alan Fritz 11/29/1954 – 4/5/2023 Bob Fritz of Indialantic, Florida passed away peacefully on April 5,2023. Bob was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His family moved to several cities in the Midwest and then settled in Miami when Bob was 11. He immediately became the Miami Dolphin’s greatest fan. He and his Dad enjoyed exploring and fishing every waterway in South Florida. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Insurance. In addition to the Dolphins, he now had his beloved Georgia Bulldogs to cheer for. Bob had three distinct careers. After graduation he worked for American Banker’s Insurance Group in Miami Florida. He was the definition of a traveling salesman, visiting up to 5 cities a week all over the United States. He was with ABIG for 25 years, ending his career as Vice president in charge of the Bank Market. As his father’s health began to decline, he joined him as a manufacturer’s representative, selling packaging products to the food industry. He built a small company into Associated Sales Group with coverage throughout the Southeastern United States and the Caribbean. It was at this time that he moved his family to Indialantic as it was more centrally located for travel. He loved the small town feeling of Brevard County. His third and final career was owning several Pinch A Penny Franchises. He could build and repair anything and loved meeting and talking to so many new customers. Bob was a friend to all who met him. He was a loving husband, father to 3 wonderful children and Pop-Pop to 6 beautiful grandchildren who brought him the utmost joy. He always said his children were his greatest accomplishment. He loved spending time with family, whether it was Sunday dinners, watching football, boating or deep-sea fishing. He enjoyed traveling, especially cruising, and visited many places around the world. Even though he traveled extensively for work he was very active in his children’s lives: coaching basketball, little league and attending tennis matches, soccer and football games. Bob is survived by his wife of almost 42 years, Mary Beth Connelly Fritz, his children Jimmy; Marianne Goettig (Chris) and their 4 sons Gunnar and Gage (6), Hunter and Hayes (3); Robbie Fritz Jr. (Lindsey) and their daughters Claire(4) and Caroline (almost 2). Bob is also survived by his sister Linda Moore of Denver, Colorado (Jim) and their children Diana and Bryan. He was loved by brother-in-law John Connelly (Marilyn) of Belleair, Florida and sisters-in-law Kathy Connelly Moore (Gordon) of St Pete, Florida, Patti Connelly Conn (Steve) of Littleton Colorado, Maureen Connelly of Belleair, Florida, and Meg Connelly Truluck (Alex) of Safety Harbor, Florida, along with many nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his parents Robert Anthony and Anne Karlene Fritz. A life so wonderfully lived deserves to be wonderfully remembered.
