Stephen Russo

Russo, Stephen 77, of St. Petersburg, passed away on May 22, 2014. Steve was a loving dad, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching wrestling and going to the movies. He also spent a lot of time with his friends, and there were many of them. He was born and raised in New York City, and retired to Ft. Lauderdale, and later relocated to St. Petersburg to be close to his son. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, and he worked passionately with St. Jude's, helping children in need. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Russo and Pasquale Lamonica and his wife Josephine Lopez Russo. He will be forever missed by his children Cynthia Saenz, Stephen Russo Jr. and his wife Adeline, Debra Von Plueren and her husband Brian, Tanya Burgos and her husband Richard, Michael Steven Russo and his wife Leslie; step-children, Yvonne Lopez, Janet Lopez, Leslie Nievez, Lisa Lopez and Anthony Lopez; his loving and cherished companion Helen Harvey; many grand and great grandchildren and all his friends and neighbors. Funeral service will be held at A Life Tribute Funeral Care, Gulfport, FL on Friday, May 30th at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1500 S State Rd 7, North Lauderdale, FL 33068 on Saturday, May 31st at 12:45 PM.
