BRADLEY, David B., 56, of Land O' Lakes, FL., passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 after a short illness. He was born at Andrew's AFB, Accokeek, MD and moved to Florida in 1961. David served in the Army in Ft. Hood, TX. He was a Letter Carrier for the Carrollwood Station Post Office in Tampa for over 30 years. David graduated from Temple Heights H.S. In Tampa and attended college on a sports scholarship. He was a natural athlete and his hobbies included weight lifting, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He participated in team sports even playing semi-pro baseball with the Tampa Tarpons. In the Army he played soccer and later coached his son in football and baseball and daughters in softball. All of his children went to school on sports scholarships. David was a great outdoorsman and loved hunting, camping and fishing. He was a Padi Diver and loved the water. David was an excellent carpenter and framer and worked with his brother building houses and later helped his son with many projects. David enjoyed gardening and took pride in his home and cooking skills. As a single parent he had a great deal of respect for any caregiver or parent who had to manage on their own and was always offering to help others. He lived by his personal beliefs and standards and was exceptionally hard working, always putting duty before pleasure. He was honest and thoughtful. He made an art form out of storytelling, bringing levity, laughter and great memories to others. David will always be remembered for his caring heart and will be missed by his family and friends. David is predeceased by his father, James W. Bradley and brother, Col. Gary W. Bradley. He is survived by his mother Ruth Girson (Aaron); brother, Herbert (Margie) Bradley; son, Acie Williams; daughters, Jacklyn Bradley and Michelle Bradley; three stepdaughters, Samantha, Lindsey and Alicia Cronk; four grandchildren, Dema, Emerie, Camryn and Weston; many loving nieces and nephews and cousins in the U.S. and Germany. A longtime friendship with Keith Britt and his wife MJ warmed his heart until his final day, as did the support of his loving family. A Funeral Service will take place at 10 a.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Loyless Funeral Home. Family will receive friends one hour prior. A graveside service will follow with military honors at Trinity Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Trinity, FL. Words of comfort may be expressed for David’s family by clicking “Share a Memory.”
