A Life Tribute Funeral Care - Largo
Wayne C Benline
April 11th, 1931 - January 14th, 2015
Wayne C. Benline, 83, our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, friend, and confidant, originally from Chicago and lately of Gulfport, passed away on 14 Jan 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Wayne is survived by his daughters, Janise Dockree (Peter), Diane Holt & Kim (Nick) Kochey, grand children Carole, John & Dawn, Casey, Jennifer, Tara & great granddaughter Elliot & siblings June Lewis, Sharron Fare (Sue) & Clifford Benline & many nieces & nephews. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation, an organization which made Wayne & his family's life much easier in the last few months. Thank you to all the staff at the Arbor Oaks for their tender care. Interment at Bay Pines National Cemetery, Feb 18th at 12:45 As a young man, he proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War as an air traffic controller. After becoming married, he decided to leave the snow of Chicago behind him so in 1965 he moved his family to St. Petersburg, Florida where he then enjoyed a long career as a real estate broker. He cherished his 3 lovely daughters Janise, Diane, and Kim, his 6 wonderful grandchildren and a new great-granddaughter. Wayne will be remembered by us all for his constant ability to see the best in people, no matter the circumstances. He was always quick to listen and conservative and sound with advice. He touched the lives of many we will never know. His challenges became his strengths as he shared them with others to help them face theirs. He will always be missed and forever be loved. God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. The Benline, Dockree, Kochey, and Holt families.
