Laddie Crockett

CROCKETT, Laddie David, 70, of Brooksville, passed away February 4, 2017. He was born in Rogersville, TN and moved to Tampa as a young child and later settled in Land O’ Lakes. He served in the US Army and was a Purple Heart recipient. In 1979, Laddie continued his career in towing and auto body with opening Crockett Towing and Transport. He finally retired in 2010. Laddie enjoyed the outdoors including, hunting, camping, fishing and farming. He enjoyed listening to country music and watching western movies. He was an avid Nascar fan. Laddie loved being a father and grandfather. Laddie is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Janiece; four sons, Michael Locantore, Timmy Crockett, Brant Crockett and Scotty Crockett and wife, Kirby; one daughter, Dawn Lopez and husband, Miguel; grandchildren, Emily, Chad, Taylor, Kaitlyn, Karli, Dallas, Kara, Kayla, Jacob, Trenton and Carli; one brother, Allen and wife, Frances; two sisters, Genieva and Shelia; extended family and friends. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at Idlewild Baptist Church with a funeral service following at 7:00 p.m. A graveside service with military honors will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 10, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
