John "Johnny" Alexander Diaz, Jr. 87, passed February 15, 2015. Born and raised in Tampa, Mr. Diaz was a graduate of the University of Tampa, a successful business owner of Florida Roofing and Metal Works and Florida Builders Supply in Ybor City for more than 40 years, and a member of the Downtown Rotary Club. He was preceded in death by his parents John A. Sr. and Louis B. Diaz, devoted wife of 42 years, Carmen "Cookie" Diaz. Mr. Diaz leaves his loving daughters Carolyn Diaz Morris (Bill), Tina Diaz May (Douglas) and Gina Diaz Graviss (Bob); grandchildren Robert Graviss III (Ashley), Sarah Monte Gaugler (Andrew), Adam Graviss (Jennifer), Megan Chaires Brumbles (Paul), Alexander "Alex" May IV (Samantha), William "Trey" Morris III (Andrea), Katherine "Katie" May and great-grandchildren Andrew Sheppard, Alexander May V, Andrew and John Gaugler, Ava Graviss, Adalyn Graviss, and Mackenzie May; a sister Louise D. Jackson of Tampa and many lifelong friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite charity.
