Bert Lehmann

LEHMANN, Bert E., 82, of Lutz, passed away peacefully at home on May 9, 2017. He was born in Germany, moved to Michigan, then to Thonotosassa, FL in 1969 before settling in Lutz, FL in 1997. Bert worked for GM Motors from 1956-1968 then many years later, was proud to open his own cabinetry business. He was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness in 1968 and was a member at Crenshaw Lake of Lutz. Family was the most important thing to Bert just as serving Jehovah God. Bert enjoyed fishing and always helping people. He loved to make BBB hot sauce and hosting family BBQ's with his specialty grilled steaks. Bert was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Bertha; two sisters and three brothers with Fred being his closest sibling. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Olga; two sons, Edward and wife, Jennifer and Steven and wife, Debbie; one daughter, Susan Kirkland and husband, Steve; seven grandchildren, Ian (Michelle), Chelsea (Jonathan), Justen, Grayson, Shem (Rochelle), Dawn and Luke (Roxanne); two great grandchildren, Zane and Myla; two nieces, Rosie Briggs (John) and Heidie Kistka (Gary); extended family and friends. A special thanks to LifePath hospice Blue team and Hillsborough County Aging services for the outstanding support.
