September 6th, 1933 - July 7th, 2017
BETTEZ, Jean Eloise, 83, of New Port Richey, FL, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017. Jean was a proud wife of a military veteran. Jean and her husband enjoyed traveling around the world. Jean was born in Pine Bluff, AR, and moved to FL from TN in 2005. She was of Catholic faith. Jean loved to travel, play Bridge, was an avid gardener, and a youth counselor. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert in 2013; son, Richard in 1980; and sister in law, Judy Poss. She is survived by her son, Michael and wife, Brenda; two daughters, Vicki and husband, Joel Simpson and Marjorie and husband, Daryl Whitman; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two brothers, James Poss and David and wife, Linda Poss. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2017. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment to take place on July 12, 2017 at Florida National Cemetery. Words of comfort may be expressed for Jean’s family by clicking “Share a Memory”.
