Franklin "Bob" Robert Janssen
September 25th, 1946 - October 2nd, 2015
Devoted father and husband Franklin Robert "Bob" Janssen, age 69, passed away at home on October 2. Born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, Bob moved to St. Petersburg in 1976. He was a graduate of Houghton College in southwestern New York State. Bob's career spanned over 35 years in health and human services and he retired as a manager with the Department of Health in Pinellas County in 2012. Bob is survived by his wife, Susan Gilbert; two daughters Rachel Elizabeth Janssen and Sarah Katherine Janssen; father Duane Janssen Sr.; brother Duane Janssen Jr. and wife Linda; sister Jean Janssen Martinez and husband David; and nine nieces and nephews. Bob was a past president of the Old Southeast Neighborhood Association and currently served on the Board. He was also active in his church, Trinity United Church of Christ. Bob's quick witted humor and willingness to help others will be missed by all who knew him. Arrangements to follow.
