Cyril "Scotty" Kochanevich

KOCHANEVICH, Cyril “Scotty” 87, of Wesley Chapel, FL passed away peacefully Sunday, November 26, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born on March 19, 1930 in Nanticoke, PA. After graduating from high school, Cyril proudly served in the U.S. Army and then settled in Horseheads, NY where he and his wife Margaret raised their family. Cyril worked for Thatcher Glass Manufacturing for over 35 years and then worked with Dominic and Dominic. He moved to Wesley Chapel, FL from New York in 2015. Cyril enjoyed all aspects of auto racing from watching it, racing stock cars and working on cars. He loved spending time with family and friends and making many family camping trips. He is preceded in death by his parents, Constantine and Anna Kochanevich; sisters, Dorothy Canfield and Rose Ahlbrandt. Cyril is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Margaret; daughters, Pamela Wallace and her husband, Mike and Linda Leach; grandchildren, Sarah Hilmes and her husband, Jacob, Ian Wallace, Tyler Leach, Carter Wallace, Meghan Wallace, Troy Leach and Spencer Wallace and many nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 1, 2017 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. the family will receive friends one hour prior to mass.
