Peter Stewart
July 27th, 1942 - February 22nd, 2016
Peter Stewart, age 73 of St. Petersburg, Florida, formerly of Boylston, Massachusetts, passed away at home from heart failure on Monday, February 22, 2016. He was born in New Haven, CT on July 27, 1942 to the late John Stewart and Hilda (Sharrocks) Stewart. Peter is survived by his sister, Diane (Stewart) Graves, nieces Isabelle Franchini (Brian) and Rachel Carle (Edward) and many cousins and friends. He graduated from Benedictine High School in Cleveland, Ohio, attended Worcester Junior College, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Peter was a dedicated Mason having served as Worshipful Master of the Boylston, Massachusetts Lodge located in West Boylston, Massachusetts from 1975 to 1976. He was an accomplished painter and collector of fine art and literature. For many years, he shared his enthusiasm and knowledge of art as a Docent at the Worcester Museum of Art. Peter also enjoyed spirited debates with friends and family on contemporary politics. Peter is remembered for his love of dogs, especially the late Napoleon and Josephine and his childhood 4 legged friend, Sam. A private memorial service will be held on March 1.
