July 26th, 1933 - February 18th, 2018
VITALE, Gertrude A., 84, of Tampa, FL, passed away February 18, 2018. She was born in New York City and after coming down many winters, finally settled in Tampa in 2016. Gertrude retired after 32 years as a Vice President and Branch Manager for College Point Savings Bank. Since the 1950’s, she has a wonderful group of ladies called the “Band-aids” she remained friends would meet up on a monthly basis. She enjoyed traveling, keeping photo albums and talking with her friends. Gertrude was preceded in death by her son, James Peter Vitale; grandson, James Louis Vitale. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, James A. Vitale; daughter, Laura Vitale-DeRosa; three grandchildren, Jennifer Fields, Jessica Ricketson and Steven Vitale; five great grandchildren, Peyton Fields, Colby Fields, Landon Ricketson, Lawson Ricketson and Lucille Anna Ricketson; sister, Nancy Moss; sister in law, Maryann Meyer; many loving nieces and nephews. A visitation will take place from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Loyless Funeral Home. Words of comfort may be expressed for Gertrude’s family by clicking “Share a Memory”.
