Carol Ford Reynolds, born Feb 8, 1930 and died at her home in St. Pete Beach, FL., Jan 22, 2012, at the age of 81. Carol, daughter to Chester P. and Mary M. Ford, was sister to Bruce P. Ford, beloved and devoted wife of Henry D. Reynolds all of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her children Stephan (Nobuko) Reynolds, Deborah (Lee) Griffing, Mark (Leslie) Reynolds, H. Dick (Evana) Reynolds, and Scott (Judy) Reynolds. She is treasured Nana to grandchildren: Kathryn and John Griffing; Timothy and Joseph Reynolds; Anne and Matthew Reynolds; Kathryn, John, Elizabeth and Daniel Reynolds. Henry and Carol were preceded in death by our loving sister Suzanne (Suzi) Reynolds. Carol, a homemaker, enjoyed cooking for her large family and friends. She was an avid reader who studied and practiced home decorating. She also enjoyed gardening, was a devoted volunteer and Girl Scout Leader earning their highest award. Carol was a long time resident of Clarendon Hills, IL, spent her summers on Lake Vermilion in Tower, MN, and winters in St. Pete Beach, FL. She enjoyed indulging her grandchildren buying them lunches, ice cream cones, jelly beans, and donut holes. Carol's memorial service will be held at the Community Presbyterian Church, 39 N. Prospect Ave., Clarendon Hills, IL on Tues., Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Carol Ford Reynolds name to Wounded Warrior Project woundedwarriorproject.org or Marine Toys for Tots Foundation www.toysfortots.org.
