Alma "Louise" Elrod
March 31st, 1934 - March 30th, 2018
ELROD, Alma Louise Eaker was born in Kennett, MO in 1934. After moving to St. Louis, MO, she became a switchboard operator and later became a secretary. She married John Nevills when she was 18 and had one daughter, Connie Edwards. After divorce from John, she married Clyde Elrod and moved from St. Louis to Tampa, FL in 1979 to help him with his business Elrod Manufacturing until their retirement. “Lou” as her family and friends called her, enjoyed cooking, traveling and reading throughout her life. After Clyde’s death she moved in with her daughter, grandson, Alan and son in law, Lee Edwards and lived happily until her passing on March 30th at the age of 83. There will be a memorial service for Lou at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14th at Loyless Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Light refreshments will be served.
