Angelo Burgos

BURGOS, Angelo, 63, of Wesley Chapel, Florida passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico and as a baby, his family relocated to Chicago. Angelo moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1992. He was a proud security officer at Mercy Hospital in Chicago and Tampa General Hospital. Angelo was a very outgoing family man. He loved to cook and was a known as a great sportsman- he enjoyed baseball, racket ball, and tennis. Angelo enjoyed listening to jazz and old school music that touched the soul. He loved to go out dancing with his wife. Above all else, Angelo loved spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Israel and Maria; brother, Tony Burgos, and sister, Delia Burgos. Angelo is survived by his loving wife, Maria, together 37 years; two sons, Eric Javier Quinones Burgos Sr., and Angelo Burgos Jr. and his girlfriend, Alida Cortez; two brothers, Israel Burgos Jr., and Don Burgos; sister, Margie Burgos; and twelve grandchildren, Ariel, Eric Jr., Carlisyani, Elijah, Rey, Elias, Emillio, Nestor, Avier, Elian, Eliaes, and Armoni; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Loyless Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
