Anita Smith

SMITH, Anita, 71, of Land O’ Lakes, Florida passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018. She was born in New York, New York and moved to the Tampa Bay Area as a child. After meeting the love of her life, Mike, they moved to Minnesota to raise their family. In 2013, she settled in Land O’ Lakes, Florida from Minnesota. Anita graduated from Jefferson High School. She then earned her Masters of Education degree from the University of South Florida. Anita pursued educational endeavors whenever possible and had great passion for the arts. She enjoyed going dancing. Anita loved spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, of 20 years, Mike; her mother, Mary Salinas; and Uncle Charlie Abell and his wife, Penny. Anita is survived by two sons, Seth Smith and his wife, Sue Wismar, and Glenn Smith; and her brother, Paul. A Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Loyless Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
