Jeannie Reese DeGain

DEGAIN, Jeannie Reese, 71 of Odessa, Florida, passed away July 1, 2018. She was born in Tampa, Florida and was Episcopalian by faith. She spent many years in real estate and real estate development. She was in the ladies auxiliary for Am Vets Post 9 in Odessa, Florida. Now that she’s gone, many will remember her as long as they live. A common thread you’d hear was “Everybody loved Jeannie.” She was the very rare jewel that attracted and stole your heart when meeting her. She traveled far and wide during her working years and had far too short a retirement. We carry her memories in that treasure we call our heart, until we meet again. God’s speed, dear Jeannie. She is preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Reese. She is survived by her loving husband of 11 years, Donald DeGain; one son, James Turner; one step son, Derek DeGain; two step daughters, Danielle DeGain, Donna Gonzalez and her husband, James; cousins, Laura Reese Florer, Synthia Reese, Leslie Sue Reese; and six loving grandchildren. She was loved and will always be missed. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Loyless Funeral Home in Land O’ Lakes, Florida. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
