Mike Dyer

DYER, Michael James, “Mike,” 54, of Land O’ Lakes, FL, a devoted husband and loving father, after a 3 year battle with cancer, passed away on July 8, 2018 surrounded by loving family. Mike was born in La Grange, IL and moved to Land O’ Lakes, FL from Edwardsville, IL in 2011. Mike was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church. Mike spent many years working for athletic merchandising companies which moved Mike and his family to many different states. After 18 years, he started working with his sister, Sue, as a trainer for Alpha Pro Solutions, a training and consulting firm for a Drug Free Workplace. After a few years, Mike became President and just celebrated 13 years with the company. Mike loved all sports and was an avid Florida State Seminole and Chicago Blackhawks fan and has always bled garnet and gold. He was always laughing and his sense of humor, along with his overwhelming generosity brightened many lives. He was a true example of God’s Commandment, to love others as yourself. He enjoyed traveling and taking road trips and would frequently turn work trips into extended family trips. Mike’s biggest hobby was spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Dyer and sister, Sue Clark. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Tami; his son, Christopher “Chris” Dyer and his fiancé, Courtney Rankin; mother, Donna Dyer; two brothers, Tim Dyer and his wife, Julia and John Dyer and his wife, Therese; three sisters, Terri Hardy and her husband, Larry, Linda Haluska and Sandy Herman and her husband, Chris; 15 loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A wake service will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Loyless Funeral Home. Family will receive friends one hour prior. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at St. Timothy Catholic Church.
