Omar Herrera Verdaguer

OMAR HERRERA VERDAGUER, 79, of Lutz, FL, passed away July 9, 2018. Omar was born in Cuba and moved to Spain from 1972-1980, settling in the US in 1980. Omar left Cuba at the age of 32 to make a better life for his family. He was Catholic by faith and was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. Omar was an outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt. He was very hands on and his hobby was carpentry. Omar loved his family and enjoyed family BBQ’s. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jose Munoz; his sister, Yolanda Coppola. Omar is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Maria Herrera; his three sons, Rodion Herrera (DeAnna), Pavel Herrera and Felix Herrera; one grandson, Estefan Herrera; two granddaughters, Makayla Herrera and Valeria Herrera; one great grandson, Lorenzo Avila; his sister, Tamara Olivares; extended family and friends. A wake service will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2018 with visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. all at Loyless Funeral Home.
