COFFEY, Gerard “Jerry”, 77 of Tampa, Florida passed away October 9, 2018. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Florida in 1986 to start a business. Jerry was an altar boy at his local Catholic church growing up and attended Catholic school. Jerry was an entrepreneur and owned a Delivery Service in New York for over 20 years, and grew his courier service in Florida to be a very successful business with 100 drivers. He enjoyed boating every weekend in the summer in New York, and in the winters, he loved skiing with family and friends. Jerry was a big dancer; even winning dance awards, and loved listening to Motown music. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 47 years: Astrid Coffey; daughter: Jennifer and husband (Kyle) Vander-Meyden; two grandchildren: Brianna and Anthony Amaro. One niece: Christine Coffey Spinelli. A funeral mass will take place a at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.
