Luis Eduardo Melendez
July 16th, 1958 - December 2nd, 2018
MELENDEZ, Luis Edwardo, 60, of Lutz, Florida passed away December 2, 2018. He was born and raised in Puerto Rico and moved to the Tampa Bay area from Puerto Rico in 1980. He proudly served in the United States Army for 12 years as a Staff Sergeant. Luis was Catholic in faith and was very passionate about his family. He also enjoyed racing cars and was a fanatic for politics. Luis is preceded by his father, Luis R. Melendez; and his brothers, Reynaldo Melendez, and Edgardo Melendez. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 40 years, Evelyn; his son, Eduardo Melendez; daughter, Enyvel Melendez; mother, Maria Diaz; and his sisters, Wanda Melendez, and Maria Del Carmen. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 pm on Saturday December 8, 2018 at Loyless Funeral Home in Land O’Lakes, Florida. The families will receive visitors one hour prior to service. Interment will take place in Puerto Rico at a later date.
