Martha Sierra Almengual

93, of Tampa, FL died March 1, 2017. Martha was the daughter of Frank (Panchito) Sierra and Maria Sierra. Martha was of Spanish/ Cuban American Heritage, a loving mom and grandmother, great-grandmother, and the Leader of the Almengual/ Sierra family. Her family was a prominent American cigar family from Ybor City, FL. Martha is survived by seven children, Brian Almengual (Suzanne), Cristina Knapp (Ian), Kevin Almengual (Nancy), Dr. Alan Almengual (Judith), Dr. Terry Almengual (Melonie), Frank Sierra (Carol), and John Sierra (Debbie). She leaves 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who love her and named her Lela as well as her loving cousin, Lee Sierra and her beloved cousin, Margaret Suarez. Martha attended the Academy of the Holy Names and was a lifelong member of Christ the King Church. Visitation will be held at ALife Tribute Funeral Care-Tampa Monday, March 13, from 7:30-8 pm with a Rosary at 8 pm. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, March 14, at 10 am at Christ the King Catholic Church followed by a graveside service at Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
