March 21st, 1937 - March 15th, 2017
Robert E Cronin (Bob),79, Clearwater, passed away peacefully March 15th. He is survived by his loving partner Marie Fitzgerald and his three children David of Palm Coast, Sean and his wife Amy of Fleming Island, and Santhi of Fleming Island, and step son Dan Fitzgerald of Kittery, ME. He also leaves his ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Born and raised in Swampscott, Mass, he was a graduate of Swampscott High, where he was voted 'class wit'. He was a friend of Bill W for 42 years. Through those years, he helped many people, as they helped him. He worked in the insurance industry for many years becoming executive vice president of Lyke's Bros. and, later, senior vice president at Marsh McLennan Co. He was a member of the Swampscott Yacht Club, The Dunedin-Clearwater Elks, and The Dunedin Boat Club. A celebration of his life will be held April 1st at 1:00 at A Life Tribute, Seminole Blvd, Largo.
