Jack E Dunaway

Dunaway, CW2 Jack E., US Army (Ret) 73 of Land O’ Lakes passed away Friday, May 11, 2007 at the James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa. He was born November 27, 1933 in Sapulpa, OK to Eula (Mathews) and Aurelius Dunaway. A decorated hero serving in both Korea and Vietnam, he retired after 22 years of service at Ft. Eustis, VA in 1975. He married his wife of 29 years Kim in 1977. In 1980, he moved his family to Land O’ Lakes where he later established the pest control business, Jack Dunaway, Inc. He was a life member of VFW post 4321, Tampa; life member of the Vinh Long Outlaws Assoc.; member of American Legion Post 100, Sparta, WI and Transportation Lodge No. 337 A.F. & A.M., Ft. Eustis, VA. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his 3 grandsons. He is survived by his wife Kim (Jones), his daughter Angelique N. and son-in-law Jaden L. Hedman of Lexington, SC and son Lucas E. and daughter-in-law Tasha Dunaway of Canton, OH; 2 brothers, Harold of Circle Pines, MN and John of Sierra Blanca, TX; father-in-law, Willard Jones, Lutz; grandsons: Brennan Bailey, Dakota Dunaway and Dane Hedman and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express our sincere thanks to the kind staff at James A. Haley VA Hospital and nursing home. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at Loyless Funeral Home on Sunday, July 15, 2007. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
