Cathleen Alma Turner

Turner, Cathleen Alma, 70, of Indian Rocks Beach, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017, at Largo Medical Center while undergoing medical procedures. Born in Pomona, CA, to the late Lt. Col. William R Maloney, USAF, Ret. and the late Eula Mae (Glidewell) Maloney. Cathleen was a graduate of Kaiserslautern High School and attended University of Maryland, Munich, Germany. She and Marcel met in college and were married July 28, 1967. Cathleen is survived by her husband, Marcel; children, Wil (Debra), Matt (Dawn); sisters, Karen Rife, Elizabeth Schmidt, Debra Maloney-Massey (Dean); grandchildren, Riley, Gabrielle, Sean, Ciara and 5 nieces and nephews. Cathleen was a special person who touched many lives with her love, understanding and support. She and Marcel had a wonderful life together, living throughout the world. Everywhere they went they welcomed new friends into their lives. Cathy's family was always the most important part of her life and she will be deeply missed. There will be a "Celebration of Life" in Cathleen's honor from 7 p.m. until sunset, on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Driftwood Sands. The family and friends will gather for fellowship before and after the celebration. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Platelet Disorder Support Association - www.pdsa.org , the American Heart Association www.heart.org, Alzheimer's Association - www.alz.org , or a charity of your choice.
