Priscilla Barker Dunning

Dunning, Priscilla (Randolph Whitner) Barker, 67 went to be with her Lord on June 6, 2007 at her home in Land O’ Lakes. She was born in Jamaica, NY to Randolph and Frances Whitner. Priss lived in Cuba with her parents Ray and Frances Barker and attended National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. She met and married John L. Dunning in Miami and had 3 children. Priss graduated Suma Cum Laude from Luther Rice University & Cum Laude from Regis University. She moved from Highlands, NC to Tampa in 1982 and worked as a Christian Educator and in Rehabilitation. She was an incredible artist, mother, teacher, Christian and friend. Priss was preceded in death by her daughter Sarah Frances (Sally) Dunning. She is survived by her son, John (Judd) Barker and wife Angela Lisa of Los Angeles, CA; her daughter Holly D. Pihl and husband Roger of New Castle, CO; grandchildren Tracy and Robby Pihl ; Ava and Grace Perez; brother: Lonnie Whitner and wife Christie; nephews, J.C. and P.J. of Bradenton, FL; sister Barbara Wilson of Buffalo, WY and niece Caitlin; ex-husband, John L. (Jack) Dunning and his brother, Ken of Melbourne Beach, FL. Services will be held at The Church of the Lakes on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at 5:00 p.m., 2530 Wilson Road, Land O’ Lakes, FL 34638 (813) 948-4358.
