MYERS, John L. Jr., 78, of Land O’ Lakes, passed away Monday, July 31, 2006, at his home under the care of Hospice surrounded by his family after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Covington, TN and moved to Florida in 1994. He served in the U S Air Force and U S Army and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Land O’ Lakes. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jerry Myers. He leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory, including his wife of 39 years, Gayle; daughters, Barbara Parsons and husband Wayne, Lori Sutphin and husband Billy, Terry Pinckley; son, Jay Pinckley and wife Tracy; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at Loyless Funeral Home at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. The family will receive friends at Loyless Funeral Home on Wednesday Evening from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
