Vincent Snider

Vincent Eugene Snider, 89 was called home to God on Sunday, April 6, 2008. He was born in Wheatland, IN and relocated to Florida. He earned his commission in the US Navy as a LTJG, and was an air operations officer in New Smyrma Beach, FL. He worked for Publix Supermarkets for 25 years, where he retired as store manager of Ocala's 40 East location. His memberships include, Marion-Dunn Lodge No. 19, F&AM, Ocala Scottish Rite Bodies, Shrine Temple, Eastern Star, and a life member of Ocala Elks Lodge N. 286. In 2001, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Edna E. Snider. His survivors include his sister, Dorothy Lagle of Wheatland, IN; his son, Vincent (Buddy) E. Snider of Land O' Lakes, FL; his daughter, Marilyn Hennessy of Gainesville, FL; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 9, from 6-8 p.m at Loyless Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, April 10, from 5-7 p.m. at Hiers Funeral Home, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL 34470. Funeral services will be Friday, April 11, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Hiers Funeral Home, followed by interment at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.
