MURPHY, Gerald “Jerry” Francis, Sr., 79, of Land O’ Lakes passed away September 2, 2008. He was born in New Rochelle, NY and moved to Land O’ Lakes from Ossining, NY in 2006. He served in the Navy. He attended the New York School of Interior Design in Manhattan, NY. He was the retired owner and operator of Murphy Upholstery in Ossining, NY. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Anne; son Gerald Francis Murphy Jr. and wife Danielle of Land O’ Lakes; daughters, Maryann Whitson and husband Lance of Buchanan, NY; Melanie Bettini and husband Robert of Wappingers Falls, NY and two grandchildren Ashley and Robert Vincent. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Land O’ Lakes. The interment will follow at the Florida National Cemetery.
