Robert Cowan

COWAN, Robert “Bob”, MD, 61, of Tampa, passed away January 04, 2009. He was born in Alliance, OH and moved to the Bay Area in 1976. He was a Medical Director with Doctors Walk In Clinic and volunteered with the Judeo Christian Health Clinic. Prior to that, after graduating from Ohio State University Medical School, he served as a flight surgeon for the United States Air Force. A member of Hunter’s Green Country Club, he was extremely passionate about golf. He is survived by his wife Alison; son, Christopher Cowan of Los Angeles, CA; two daughters, Gwendolyn and her husband Don Owen of Dallas, TX and Maggie Mahoney of Austin, TX; brother, Curt of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; two sisters, Jody Booth and Becky Leroy both of St. Petersburg and two grandchildren; Blake and Rilyn Owen. A Celebration of his Life will be held at St. James United Methodist Church at Tampa Palms on Friday at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
