STANLEY, Karen Bascome “Sissy”, 50, of Tampa, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009. She was born in Tampa and was a graduate of Chamberlain High School, class of ’76. She was a devoted mother and always found the fun in everything life had to offer. Karen also expressed much love to her dog, Callie. She is survived by her daughters, Lauren and Jennifer Stanley of Tampa; their father, Keith Stanley of Land O’ Lakes; parents, Don and Ann Bascome; sister, Kathy and her husband Mike Metcalf; nephews, Douglas and Tyler Metcalf and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of her life will be held at Lake Magdalene United Methodist Church on Thursday April 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. A gathering of family and friends in honor of Karen will be held at Emerald Green Golf and Country Club, in the club house, following the service.
