Martha Sue Willis

WILLIS, Martha Sue, "Sue", 71, of Winter Haven, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2009. She was born in Winter Haven and lived there most of her life. After attending Florida State University, she started her career as a Secretary to the General Manager of Waverly Grower's Co Op. She had since retired and increased her already active role in the community. Sue was on the board for the Florida Citrus Showcase and also worked with the Girl's Club in Winter Haven as well as many other civic organizations. One could say her crowning achievement was her involvement with her Class of 1955, which she truly loved staying connected to her friends and classmates. Sue was also a member of the First Baptist Church Of Winter Haven. She was well known for being an enthusiastic animal lover. Sue is survived by her basset hound, George; cousins, Marsha Long, Jennifer Long, Jessica and Robert Harrop and cousins, Carolyn Stephan, Kay, Steve and Kari Peacock, Rob, Lisa, Matthew and Ally Stephan as well as numerous friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday September 13, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Winter Haven.
