MADDEN, Joey A, Jr., 53, of Wesley Chapel, FL., passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, and moved to Florida in 2000. Joey served in the U.S. Navy and retired as a Petty Officer, AMHI(AW) after 20 years or service. He attended St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church of Tampa. Joey was a member of VFW, Virginia Beach, Virginia. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Sr.; grandmother, Agnes Abery; and mother-in-law, Metilde Ragasa. Joey is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Ane; son, Jose Ragasa and his wife Flora of the Philippines; daughter, Maricel and her husband Francis Limyo of the Philippines; five grandchildren; mother, Agnes Madden of Tampa; two brothers, Frank Madden and his wife Stacey of Tampa, Jody Madden of Massachusetts; sister, Barbara and her husband Frank Houston, of Tampa; sister-in-law, Marita Wright of Chicago; Niece and Nephews, Jacqueline, Joseph, and Michael Houston all of Tampa. A funeral mass will take place on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Tampa. Memorial donations may be made to HPH Hospice.
