Russell Deane Gold

GOLD, Russell Deane, 80, of Wesley Chapel, Fla., passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2010. He was born in Champaign County, Ohio and moved to Wesley Chapel from Jacksonville, Fla in 1984. He was a U. S. Army veteran and served in the Korean War. In 1983, he co- founded Package Material Sales, Inc and served as CEO. Russ was a lifelong outdoorsman. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Don and his son, Gary. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sandy; three sons, John and his wife, Trisha of Valrico, Keith and his wife, Laura of Ponte Vedra Beach and Ron and his wife, Lara of Land O’ Lakes; daughter, Christie of Wesley Chapel; two sisters, Lorene Wren and Donna Spriggs and sister-in-law, Naola all of Ohio and six grandchildren, Brian, Brittany, Sarah, Jonathan, Amelia and Eli. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Baldomero Lopez StateVeterans Nursing Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 27th at Loyless Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Private military honors will be conducted at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at a later date.
