Thomas Birkett

BIRKETT, Thomas, 61, of Land O’ Lakes, passed away Friday, April 9th, 2010. He was born in Carbondale, PA, and moved to Florida in 1984. Prior to moving to Florida he earned a master’s degree in music education. Thomas enjoyed traveling the world and performing in the 25 piece show group he founded called “Body and Soul”. Locally he was a vocalist and played bass with “Shadow Ridge” in Spring Hill. He also worked for the past 18 years as a service technician with Alert Air Conditioning in Tampa. Thomas is preceded in death by his daughter, Junine and sister, Carol. He is survived by his loving wife, Ciel; two sons, J.J. and Danny; two daughters, Rebecca and Tanya; two brothers, Al and Phil; sister, Charlotte; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Cassandra, Christian, Nicholas, John, Alexander, and Jamie (Papa’s little man); and one great grandson, Dylan. A funeral service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13th at Loyless Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
