JIMENEZ, Africa Maria “Afriquita”, 72, of Land O’ Lakes, passed away Sunday, April 25th, 2010. She was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and moved to Florida from Puerto Rico in 1989. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Land O’ Lakes. Africa loved to spend time with her family. She was devoted to the Lord and enjoyed helping others. Her favorite past times were gardening and cooking. Africa is preceded in death by her loving husband, Rafael Jimenez. She is survived by her two sons, Jorge Jimenez and Rafael Jimenez; three daughters, Xiomara Jimenez, Marisol J. Labrie and husband Mike, and Belkys Kuehner; three brothers; four sisters; three grandchildren, Jean Marie, Natasha, and Adam; several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 1st at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Land O’ Lakes. Africa’s family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30th at Loyless Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hernando Pasco Hospice.
