William J. Bosch

BOSCH, William Joseph, 83, of Land O’ Lakes, Fla., passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011. He was born in Lynch, KY to I. B. and Mary Peters Bosch. Bill was a thirty six year resident of Amberley Village in Cincinnati, Ohio and was a winter resident in St. Petersburg and Pinellas Park, Fla., for many years, and became a resident of the Grove Golf & Country Club in 2005. Bill was of the Catholic Faith. He graduated from Lynch High School in 1946, attended Chillicothe Business College in Chillicothe, MO., Xavier University, Cincinnati, OH., Murray State Teachers College, Murray, KY (National Science Foundation Fellowship) and graduated with a BS from Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate, TN., 1958. He taught Biological Science in the Lynch Independent Schools, Lynch KY., coached football, basketball and tennis; taught in the West Clermont School District, Amelia, OH., and the Reading School System, Reading, Cincinnati, OH. Bill was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5171, Cumberland, KY, managed the Legion Baseball team and was the Boy Scout Leader for the American Legion Post 195 in Lynch, KY, and served as umpire and President of the Lynch Little League. Bill was a Kentucky Colonel, recommended by life long friend, Jack Bandy and appointed by Governor Wallace G. Wilkerson. Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife, of forty years, Audra; brothers, Joe, Steve, Mike, John and Frank; sisters, Mary Cones, Rose Saltress, Ann B. Garris and Elsie Hoffman. He is survived by his sister, Irene Florek of Lynch, KY and many nieces, nephews and other family members. Internment will be in the family mausoleum in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Blue Ash, Cincinnati, OH.
