BARTON, Christopher Avery, 56, of Valrico, FL passed on to a better place Thursday, March 28, 2013 after a long illness. He was born on July 25, 1956 in Greenfield, MA to Norman A. and Lois M. (Anderson) Barton. He graduated from Pioneer Valley Regional High School in Northfield, MA in 1974 and Tampa Technical Institute in Tampa, FL in 2001. Christopher served 20 years in the United States Air Force reaching the rank of Master Sergeant, during which time he was awarded the following medals: National Defense Service, Meritorious Service, Air Force Commendation and Air Force Achievement. He loved travelling, tennis, music, basketball and most of all helping others. He leaves behind his wife of 29 years, Nancy J. (Kline) Barton, two daughters, Emily S. Barton and Kelli E. Barton; mother, Lois M. Anderson (Barton); three sisters, Deborah M. Barton-Duprey, Nancy J. Beckwith, Beth B. Cadran; three brother-in-laws, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be private.
