Kimberly Jean Barnett

BARNETT, Kimberly Jean, “Kim”, 44, of Land O’ Lakes, FL passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013. She was born in Cullman, Alabama and moved to Land O’ Lakes 15 years ago. Kim was an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. She received her Master’s Degree (MSN) from Graceland University. Kim was a member of the nursing faculty at Rasmussen College, started a lot of lives at the Birthing Center at Community Hospital and was a Doctorate of Nursing Practice Candidate at the University of South Alabama. She is preceded in death by her infant brother, Keith Duke and sister, Kerrie Duke. She is survived by her two sons, Joshua and Christian; parents, Gloria and Lonn Skiles; brother, Tim Skiles; sister, Tina Shaw and her husband, Tim. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm at on Sunday, June 9th at Grace Family Church in Lutz. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm at Loyless Funeral Home on Saturday, June 8th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kimberly J. Barnett memorial scholarship for Nursing.
