MICHAELS, Joseph W., 100, of Tampa, FL passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012. He was born in Syracuse, NY and moved to FL 55 years ago. Joe was a United States Navy Veteran and proudly served in WWII. He was a well known musician in NY and St. Petersburg and played the saxophone and clarinet. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jan. He is survived by his nephew, Francis Mitchell of Tampa; niece, Clara Burley of Raleigh, NC; great nieces, Elizabeth Bowers of Tampa and Suzanne Donato of Raleigh, NC; great nephews, Chris Mitchell of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands and J. Robinson Mitchell of South, FL. Services will be private.
